Welcome to the neighbourhood – a guide to our wonderful neighbours in the Banhoek Valley

Posted on Sat December 22, 2018 in Things to do at De Zeven.

While still relatively undiscovered, the Banhoek Valley and Conservancy has a growing number of restaurants, wine estates, hiking and cycling trails and of course stunning viewpoints on beautiful estates. This is our lovely neighbourhood and if you're planning a stay at De Zeven, you'll enjoy this guide to our wonderful neighbours.

Camberley – Walk or cycle 200 metres

Make your way down the road to Camberley for an intimate wine tasting or a bite to eat. Their restaurant, Cafe Pavé (pronounced par-vay) offers a simple, yet elegant spread, while their tasting room features a rose garden, cellar and of course – a selection of beautifully handcrafted wines. For the cyclists, there's also a small showroom with the latest world-class bikes on display, so be sure to pop in after lunch.

Bartinney – Walk or cycle 600 metres

Our next door neighbours at Bartinney offer a range of exciting wine tasting options and events at their Tasting Shed. Why not walk on over and enjoy the weekend 'wine down' with a glass of vino or bubbles, or join the locals for the much-loved ‘Under the Stars’ and ‘Under the Roof’ live acoustic music evenings? Cyclists also love the Skyfall single track. Feel free to ask our staff for more information or find out more here: http://www.bartinney.co.za/

Delaire Graff – 5 min drive

Delaire Graff's impressive estate and the state-of-the-art winery is well worth a visit. Beyond exceptional wines and breathtaking views, Delaire Graff also offers two lavish dining options for lunch and dinner: The Delaire Graff Restaurant – a contemporary bistro-chic restaurant, and Indochine – Asian fusion cuisine presented in an opulent, contemporary space.
