Saunas have come a long way since they were first created in Northern Europe, being nothing more than large pits in the ground covered in animal hides, with a fire burning inside beneath a pile of stones.

We love summertime in the Banhoek Valley. It’s a time to explore the many trails and tracks that criss-cross the mountains, to wander through the vineyards and to taste the delicious wines that they yield.
