Explore the extensive Boschendal Wine Farm located down the road from De Zeven Guest House on Helshoogte Road. Babylonstoren Garden & Estate
A must-see attraction in the Western Cape, Babylonstoren’s 3.5-hectare garden comprises of rose pavilions, fruit orchards, vegetable gardens, prickly pear mazes, wild olive groves and cycad gardens. There are more than 300 varieties of plants in total, all of which are edible or have medicinal value. Open for public viewing, the Old Nectar Gardens in Stellenbosch are situated at the edge of the Jonkershoek Nature Reserve in Stellenbosch. The 4-hectare garden features a rose garden, a waterfall garden, a magnolia walk, a terraced woodland and pergola garden. The estate’s 120m driveway over looks a picturesque dam with views of a hillside of oak trees and the Jonkershoek Mountains.
Dylan Lewis Sculpture Gardens
South African sculptor Dylan Lewis has created a spectacular 7-hectare sculpture garden in Stellenbosch for guests to explore. Beautifully landscaped with hills, valleys and water features, visitors can view more than 60 sculptures dotted along 4km of pathways.
